Atlas

2U 8 Channel ADDA USB2 Recording interface with 8 Mic/Instrument in

Atlas is a 2U reference quality USB2 multi-track audio interface with 8 channels of ADDA and 10 channels of digital IO. All 8 channels feature high quality mic inputs while the first 2 also feature DIs. Atlas allows up to 18 channels to connect to a host computer via USB2 but using the MDIO expansion slot the interface can accomodate Protools HDX or Dante interfacing.

Product Details
Atlas is a reference quality multi-track USB2 audio interface that is ideal for music and sound recording, multitracking, overdubbing, stem-based mastering, analogue summing and critical listening applications.

Atlas's eight analog inputs feature Prism Sound's 'Overkiller' progressive soft limiter which transparently prevents over modulation of the analogue to digital convertor on a channel by channel basis. Each of the 8 analogue inputs feature high quality mic amps with digitally-controlled gain in excess of 60dB (selectable in 1dB steps), individually-switchable phantom power, and very low noise and distortion. Two of these mic inputs also support direct injection (DI) instrument connections with quarter-inch jacks on the front panel. RIAA Equalization can also be selected for each analogue input on a channel by channel basis. Titan also features 10 digital inputs and outputs - 8 channels via ADAT Optical and 2 channels by S/PDIF or AES/EBU with sample rate conversion. Atlas also features MIDI I/O on 5-pin DIN connectors on the rear panel.

Atlas’s front panel gives continuous visual indication of the unit’s main settings and levels plus dedicated pots to control main monitor levels as well as level for the two headphone outputs. For in-depth control, Atlas is managed using the Atlas Controller App. This app runs on the DAW computer, and can be popped up whenever adjustments are needed and allows control over Titan's powerful features including the built-in digital mixer for configuring ultra low latency feeds to performers.

With a standard USB2 connection that is UAC2 (USB Audio Class 2) compliant the interface is natively supported on Mac, iPad, Linux and Android, and in Windows via a low latency driver.

Verifile is a proprietary technology exclusive to Prism Sound that is built in to Atlas. It allows computer audio streams and recorded files to be quickly checked for a wide range of clicks, errors and dropouts, without any compromise in the audio content or any additional metadata. The Verifile process is entirely invisible and inaudible to the user, so using it is simplicity itself.
