Frankie HUNG has hosted a three-day professional audio mixing masterclass for 30 students in the Department of Media Design and Technology. The School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts (TEA) is proud to receive one of the most outstanding alumni – a top sound mixing engineer active in the field of studio music production and live concert.

With support from Digital Media Technology Co. Ltd., the three-day masterclass covered a wide range of sound mixing possibilities, utilising both hardware and software tools from Universal Audio. HKAPA is now the only institute in Hong Kong featuring all UAD plugins.

Frankie has worked with many top-line artists and singers, home and abroad, including Eason CHAN, Sammi CHENG, Joey YUNG, and many more. He is undoubtedly the most influential Hong Kong sound engineer in the past 20 years, and he consistently shared his professional experience with students in various capacity.

Seminar participants and clinic attendants were undergraduate sound students in the Department of Media Design and Technology. They were here to develop their creative, analytical and technical skills necessary for making original contributions to the industry. Students have gained a professional grasp of theory and practical skills, developed a broad understanding of sound mixing techniques and aesthetics of the highest standards.
