With the DREAM-ADA, which has been shipping for over a year, Prism Sound has established the new industry standard for professional audio conversion. The DREAM-ADA surpasses the proven quality of the ADA8, delivering extreme versatility and unmatched performance for modern studios.


Recognising that the DREAM-ADA has taken the ADA8’s crown as the benchmark for high-end audio conversion, Prism Sound has made the strategic decision to cease development of the ADA8. Whilst a limited quantity of new ADA8 units remains available, no more will be manufactured. This transition allows Prism Sound to focus entirely on advancing the DREAM-ADA, ensuring it continues to lead the industry in conversion technology.

Mark Evans, Sales Director at Prism Sound, states, “Put simply, the DREAM-ADA is better in every way. Despite discontinuing new production, Prism Sound remains committed to its loyal customers and will continue to provide service and repair support for all existing ADA8 units. As part of this transition, firmware development for the ADA8 has ceased. As a result, current supported operating systems and third-party software compatibility will be locked as of this date, and Prism Sound will not be supporting any future updates. Users should take this into account when planning their long-term workflows.

To support ADA8 users in upgrading to the DREAM-ADA, Prism Sound is introducing a limited-time trade-in programme. Customers will be offered personalised trade-in deals toward the purchase of a DREAM-ADA, helping to ease the transition to next-generation audio conversion. These offers will be shaped by factors such as the unit’s condition and configuration. The programme will only run for a limited period, and we are only able to accept a finite number of units for trade-in. As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, select units will be refurbished and resold at a discount, allowing more users to experience the renowned Prism Sound quality at a fraction of the ADA8’s original price.
