AX32 is an extremely capable multi channel audio converter and microphone preamplifier for independent simultaneous analogue-to-digital (A/D) and digital-to-analogue (D/A) conversion as well as digital-to-digital format conversion and signal routing. AX32 can interface a total 48 analogue input and output channels depending on the configuration of the unit, and has fixed installed 8 stereo AES3 inputs and outputs (16 I/O channels), one coaxial 64 channel MADI input and output connection, and optionally by installing a mini I/O module additionally two optical 64 channel MADI input and output connectors via “Small form-factor pluggable” (SFP) transceiver modules. Further more 64 input and output channels of Ethernet IP audio powered by DanteTM is supported by installing the internal IP audio option. As standard the basic chassis is equipped with one fixed power supply. For redundant power operation two power supplies can be installed.
With the AX32 you get up to 48 analogue audio channels of pristine AD and DA conversion with superb sonic quality, versatile I/O structure with AES, MADI, SDI and Dante digital audio interfaces.
With a full 8 I/O cards and 2 I/O modules installed internally you can control a 1,500 x 1,500 matrix of audio channels. All operation and functional control is managed via the DADman control software which has support for the EUCON 3 control protocol, enabling full control of the monitor functionality from the Avid S6, S3, PT Dock and the Pro Tools Control surfaces. Tactile control of monitor parameters can be made using one or more MOM - Monitor Operation Modules. The AX32 system supports all the immersive audio formats, while the optional SPQ card provides 1,024 filters and 128 channels of equalization and delay for speaker/room correction and bass management.
A total of 8 card slots are available in the chassis frame. You can use 6 slots for analog cards each with 8 channels for a total of up to 48 AD/DA input and outputs.

AX32 Base unit with ProMon License but no AD/DA Converter
The AX32-BASE is the base unit for the AX32 modular routing, monitoring and ADDA conversion system. It comes with the ProMon license pre-installed to allow high resolution summing and low latency monitor routing. As standard it comes with 8x AES3 I/O, BNC MADI I/O and an interface for IP control. Up to 8 IO cards and 2 IO modules can be installed to provide a 1500x1500 matrix.
